Cristiana Giordano and Greg Pierotti are internationally renowned personalities in their areas of expertise and through their collaboration. Pierotti has an Humanitas Price and an Emmy nomination as an actor and principal writer on Tectonic Theatre's The Laramie Project. Giordano (UC Davis) is a renowned anthropologist winner of the Victor Turner Book Prize. Relying on Theories of Affect, Giordano and Pierotti use theatrical techniques to engage with empirical questions. Their trademark workshop and lecture "Getting Caught" is a new fascinating and interdisciplinary research into Theories of Affect that create connections between theatre and material culture in a laboratory format, in which performance artists, anthropologists, students, practitioners, and scholars see their work through a new lense. Theatre practitioners learn about their practice from a cultural perspective and participants use devised techniques to analyze and write about their non-theatrical material. Their lecture and workshop, has traveled to the UK, Italy, Canada, Ecuador, and Mexico.

Two sisters and a dog live out their lives on the bleak English moors, dreaming of love and power. The arrival of a hapless governess and a moor-hen set all three on a strange and dangerous path. The Moors is a dark comedy about love, desperation, and visibility.
