Alpha Psi Omega

Texas State University is home to the Iota Epsilon Chapter of the theatre honor fraternity, Alpha Psi Omega, whose mission is to promote and strengthen theatre arts at Texas State University. Our goals are to provide support for the theatre arts at Texas State, to offer opportunities for increased interaction among students possessing theatrical interests, and to increase public appreciation for the value of theatre.

(Re)Appropriate

Our mission is to teach ourselves and others what non-illusory theatre is and how we can write and perform this type of neo-futuristic theatre for an audience. We are honest and vulnerable with our pieces. We invite everyone and anyone who may be interested in learning about a new form of theatre!

Take 5

Our mission is to create a safe space and accessible resources for creators within the BIPOC community. Every semester students will have the opportunity to pitch a project for Take 5 to produce whether it is film, theatre, art, etc. After the piece is chosen all the members of Take 5 will be involved in the making of the production.

Our mission is to enrich the San “Marvelous” Marcos community with performance and visual arts. We strive to create art unburdened by discrimination based on identity. We will educate all with an interest in theatre to provide an opportunity for expression and spread the importance of the arts with the help of our community.
